Long Zhuang Garden Restaurant, surrounded by beautiful greenery and divided into indoor and outdoor sections, is reportedly the first Taiwan restaurant to serve barbecued piglet. Hong Kong native Chef Zhou, who has 22 years of commitment to the restaurant business, can talk your ears off about the whole process of producing a golden, crispy piglet, from weighing the pig, spice preparation, cutting, boiling and drying to hanging it over a blazing fire in order to squeeze out the extra fat. The crispy skin is crunchy and rich in collagen while the meat inside is tasty. Barbecued Piglets are NT$360 each. Chef Zhou's specialty dish, Jing Sha Ribs, is NT$280 and the traditionally prepared Kiln Roasted Prawn is NT$300. A group set menu, perfect for six diners, is also available for NT$1,880. The ingredients are specially selected for top-end quality but are offered for reasonable prices. This restaurant's lovely surroundings make it a great place for group gatherings, snacking or just a drink.
