Flavors of India

166-86, XiTun (Hsitun) Rd, Sec 3
停業 Closed

A sister restaurant to Taichung's well-known Spice Shop and Cacti Indian restaurants, Flavors of India joins a rapid migration of restaurants to the Science Park area. Located on a new strip of establishments near the corner of XiTun and YuMen roads, this inviting eatery seats 70 on two floors. According to Indian-Chinese owner/manager Kevin, the menu includes dishes found at Spice Shop but goes further with the addition of several new entrees, including the already-popular Butter Chicken (NT$250), Tikka Dry (chicken stir-fried with vegetables), Beef Bhuna (NT$250), Paneer Masala (NT$140), Prawn Curry (NT$290) and Baby Corn and Button Mushroom Curry. There are also four well-priced set-meal options, available lunch or dinner Monday through Friday. This includes one-person NT$180 vegetarian and NT$240 non-vegetarian sets, a NT$595 two-person set, and NT$1,180 four-person set. Diners can choose from multiple salad, appetizer, main-dish, vegetable, Naan bread or rice, and drink options. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Ann Lee
