Now open on GongYi Road, Home Kitchen caters to diners who enjoy a healthier, lighter selection of home-cooked cuisine. Simple and comfortable, this cozy eatery pays special attention to the sanitation of their ingredients and preparation methods. Here, you will find dishes filled with international flair; chefs pick out the finest set meals that come with a refreshing salad with Japanese dressing, soup and a drink. Many regulars come to Home Kitchen just to enjoy their Superior Quality Dong Bo Pork & Rice (NT$260), which is a Zhejiang specialty, custom prepared to suit Taiwanese tastes. They also offer healthy hot pot selections (NT$220), which taste similar to Japanese grilled sukiyayki dishes; the dipping sauce is made with natural herbs and apple, instead of soy sauce and sugar. Also dish not to be missed are their Cantonese-style soup dishes (NT$138-300), which are made with skinless chicken thighs. If you are a vegetarian, or just love vegetable dishes, try their Fresh Green Garden (翠綠滿家園/NT$180, vegetarian), which is made with plenty of vegetables and grains. --By Frida, translated by Ann Lee
