Everything about Shou Wu Er, from the ingredients and serving utensils to the decor, is authentic Korean. They even have eco-friendly, smoke-free grills and professional-quality marble tables made specifically for grilling. You can order a meal set for two (NT$590), or three people (NT$890), or a large group (NT$1,980, up to six). The Seafood Pancake dish is one of the most popular dishes here, made from a variety of seafood, a crispy, multi-layered crust, and soft stuffing. Their Ginseng Chicken Soup (NT$800), made with fresh, whole ginseng imported from Korea, is stewed with ingredients like glutinous rice, medlar, Chinese red dates, chestnuts and pine nuts. --By Ann Li, translated by Ann Lee
A. For the four-person Set Meal, choose from either Ginseng Chicken Soup, a Kimchi Hot Pot, or barbecued meats served on a bronze plate. The meat selection includes grilled beef/pork ribs and lamb chops. You also can choose a side dish, like traditional Korean kimchi, spicy stir-fried squid, or black ice fish. The meal comes with four bowls of stone pot rice, seafood pancakes, and six all-you-can-eat appetizers, which change on a daily basis.
B. The specially-made bronze pot is full of fresh, seasonal vegetables and meat slices. Side dishes include authentic stone pot rice and pork slices, which are also great when cooked inside the pot.
