Mian Mian Zi exists to provide a dining option to pre-packaged, heavily processed and overly-priced restaurant food. One soup here is made from fruit and vegetables that have been cleaned with salt water and stewed for six hours; as you can imagine, it is tender, juicy and fresh. In addition, they add beneficial enzymes to their wheat noodles and everything is packaged very hygienically. Plus, all of their cuisine is made-to-order without the use of eggs, alcohol or preservatives. --By Niang Chen, translated by Ann Lee

A. Soy Bean Noodles (NT$99), Bean Curd, Pumpkin, Sea Snail (Vegetarian), and Marinated Seaweed (NT$30-40) are just a few of the delicious appetizers available here; make sure you dip the noodles into the soup to absorb its flavor. The Sea Snails come from a pollution-free zone in Chili and have a crispy texture.

B. The Stone Pot Rice with Soup (NT$150) is colorful and full of different textures. After your meal, order a bowl of Tomato Soup for a refreshing finish.
