At Bear's Talk, you'll see a vast display of stuffed bears situated in corners around the restaurant. There is also a spacious, comfortable second-floor dining area that offers street views while you enjoy your meal. The owner of this warm and welcoming restaurant is from southern Taiwan, and offers 20 some desserts on his menu, as well as simple dishes like Pineapple Fried Rice, pasta dishes, Onion Rings, Chicken Nuggets, pancakes, and Taiwanese-style Tempura, plus soup and various salad dishes. With the popular all-you-can-eat afternoon tea special (NT$199, 2-5 p.m.), guests can enjoy a sweet, delightful dining experience with a selection that includes cotton candy, biscuits and chocolate fondue. As far as entree dishes go, chefs have prepared a wholesome selection of delectable dishes like Au Gratin Baked Cheese & Rice dishes, Meatball Spaghetti, and Curry and Chicken & Cream Rice (NT$229). Popular choices include Smoked Chicken with Ham in Cream Sauce, Green Curry Vegetables (vegetarian), German-style Sausage in Tomato Sauce, Grilled Tender Beef with Rosemary, Hawaiian-style Pork Steak, English-style Chestnut Chicken (NT$249), Milan-style Mushroom & Pork Chop, Aunt Paddy's Chicken, Grilled Beef with Caesar & Red Wine Sauce, and Mexican-style Spicy Chicken (NT$269). --By Wang Xiao-ling, translated by Ann Lee

A. Hemingway's Au Gratin Baked Seafood & Rice (NT$269) is prepared with fresh seafood ingredients like scallops and shrimp. The chefs layer the top of the dish with thick slices of cheese and bake it all to golden perfection.
