This cozy outdoor bar and Italian restaurant is located in an alley just around the corner from Taichung's Fulfillment Amphitheater. Trained as a chef, owner James has opened his second establishment with the vision of creating a hangout for workers, friends, family, students and even animal friends. Popular dishes recommended by him include the Vanilla Lemon Chicken Leg Pasta, and Chicken Legs with Wasabi White Cream Sauce Pasta, both for NT$299, and the Chicken Lover's Salad for NT$239. There is a special on Coors beer: Buy six for NT$70 each and get two free. With no shortage of little delights, Small Kiwi Cafe is a versatile venue that is good for small parties. --By Michael Yang, translated by Naomi Lai
