Managed by the former business team of Taichung's well-known J&J lounge bar, World Kitchen is one of the fancier new additions to Taichung's dining scene. The stylish chef, recruited from a five-star hotel, demonstrates his excellent culinary skills in the open kitchen, with his most popular entrees including Thai Beef Short Ribs, German Pork Knuckle, Mexican Spicy Grilled Pork Ribs, and Pan-Fried Iceland Codfish (NT$380-460). Each day before 8 p.m., diners can order any entree and get an appetizer, bread, and soup for an additional NT$180. --By Niang Chen, translated by Angel Pu
