Owned/run by Mele Lunyi and husband Mike Crook, this eatery offers a creative variety of wood-fired, 12-inch, thin-crust pizzas, plus big salads, soups and drinks (including 10-plus beers with regular specials). Thirteen regular "Silver Screen Classics" include the popular vegetarian Queen Margherita (NT$250) pizza made with plump cherry tomatoes, globs of fresh mozzarella, and organic basil homegrown in Mele's garden. Carnivores can opt for the Meatlovers pizza (NT$370), featuring pepperoni, salami, bacon and Italian sausage. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Angel Pu

A. The Smoked Salmon Pesto (NT$390) is among about five "Now Showing" special pizzas that change every 2-3 months, and comes with pesto, mozzarella, cheese, smoked salmon, asparagus, capers and red onions. Another top pick is The Korean Turf (NT$330), topped with kimchi.

B. The Homemade Chili Rice (NT$149) is served with Taiwan's famous Chishang rice, directly from Mele's family's fields in Taitung!
