Hung's Mansion hotel's first-floor restaurant has a new name and focus, with an impressive, all-new lunchtime buffet, currently available for a reasonable NT$380 on weekdays and NT$460 on weekends (prices valid until lunar new year). During dinner, the restaurant continues to offer its previous a la carte, mostly-Western fare. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Angel Pu

A. Over 30 Western, Chinese and Japanese buffet items are available, ranging from sushi and dim sum to pasta and panna cotta desserts. Living up to the restaurant's name, a large island in the middle of the buffet contains six types of fresh seafood, including crabs, shrimp, baby octopus and clams, plus several sauces such as Thai-style Hot Chutney or Ginger and Vinegar.

B. One big attraction is all-you-can-eat USDA Angus Prime Ribeye steaks, cooked on the spot to your preference. Next to this is a make-it-yourself Thai Seafood Salad area.
