Because of an illness, owner Ms. Chang began taking her diet seriously and, while convalescing at her parents' house, had the idea of sharing healthy, pure food with others. The result is this restaurant, which has no menu. Rather, each meal is left up to chef Encore. A full set meal (lunch NT$1,300/person; dinner NT$2,500/person) starts with an appetizer and entrees are normally beef and seafood based. Diners can also state any food preference in advance. --By Ruby Wu, translated by Angel Pu

A. The Grilled Angus Short Ribs with Pan-fried Salmon and Red Wine Sauce entree is a brand-new creation with a novel flavor.

B. Located in a remodeled old house, Gospel 86 can accomodate 30 diners. Its beautiful garden is filled with all kinds of edible herbs.

Gospel 86 French RestaurantC. The restaurant's handmade French bread is produced with high-grade flour imported from Japan, and tastes even better with French Isigny butter.
