A. Plum Pork Chop Rice (NT$180) uses select pig shoulder bones (only two per pig), thick with meat and tendons, slow cooked with soy sauce and some sugar, with red yeast for flavor. Set meals come with rice, handmade appetizers, soup, fruit and black tea.
Hot Pot Teppanyaki Noodles (NT$200 pork, NT$220 beef) pairs generous meat chunks and a small hot pot. The marinated pork is juicy and tender, while flavorful beef tendon chunks have a 50/50 beef-tendon ratio. Choose the black pepper, mushroom or combination sauce to go with this entree.
The Chinese ambiance here includes a whole row of French-style windows emblazoned with bold cursive calligraphy.
