Fengyuan district's Indian food lovers should be thrilled about the opening of Ganesh's second Taichung branch, which utilizes Indian chefs with five-star hotel experience to offer authentic cuisine. The tasty Indian appetizers include Fried Chicken/Mix Veg, Samosas, rolls, Indian salad, nine naan bread varieties, and entrees like curries, seafood, and a southern Indian-style fish cooked with tomatoes, onions and coconut milk, not often seen in Taiwan. --By Ann Li, translated by Angel Pu, photos by Clock Wang
A. The exotic, very Indian-feeling interior includes Indian paintings on golden walls and crimson velvet sofa-style seating.
B. Having a hard time deciding what to order? Ganesh's hearty lunch set includes a curry entree (fish, beef, chicken or vegetable) with dal soup, salad, rice, naan and a drink for only NT$199. Once you've tried this set, you'll be ready to explore the rest of the restaurant's delicacies.
Mutton Bhuna (NT$300) is rich with spices and a thick sauce, perfect for diners who can accept medium-spicy entrees.
