This little deli, located in the former site of Pizza Buena, offers a serious selection of exceptional sandwiches, soups, wraps, pasta, cold cuts, sausages, sauces/spreads, and "pickled stuff" (from fennel hearts and green beans to eggs)--almost all made in house with no preservatives and additives. A. Excellent food here is prepared by very experienced husband-and-wife owners, Pasta Buena boss Vigi Yu and former Hotel ONE Executive Sous Chef Nicholas Alvarez ("Vini's" is a combo of their first names).
B. The Turkey & Harvati Cheese with Garlic Mayonnaise on Whole Wheat is among 50 sandwiches (NT$150-180, 6-inch), with 4-5 available on any given day, pictured here with a hearty Chili (NT$150/small, NT$250/large). There are also 3-4 soups, 3-4 deli-style salads and three pasta entrees per day.
C. Much of Vini's business is take-out but there are some outside seats for diners.
