Youthful chef Kimi, an experienced hotel chef and cooking instructor, has opened this international dining establishment, offering creative cuisine that mixes Eastern and Western styles. Options include pork chops, pasta entrees, daily-fresh pitas, and beef risotto. The American industrial-style decor includes pipes, faucets, helmets, desks, chairs and lamps. All of them are DIY. Customers can also sponsor cups hung on the walls, with all income from this donated to World Vision. --By Lin Fu-shan, translated by Angela Cheng

A. Grilled Beef Steak and Sea Tiger Shrimp with Rock Salt (NT$399)--The steak is crispy outside and tender inside with locked-in juices, while the fresh, chewy shrimp are sprinkled with delicate, fried pumpkin shreds.

B. Tulip Risotto with Pan Fried Squid (NT$219)--The lightly-fried, tender and savory squid goes perfectly with the yellow tulip risotto, made with thick paste created with vintage Italian wine.

C. Beef Patties with Pita Bread (NT$239) is made with top-grade semolina. The beef hind leg and the back meat are cooked in a perfect 3:7 proportion.
