This very fashionable, innovative dining space is hidden in the GongYi Road commercial area. Koharu features a simple, natural Hokkaido style, upholding the spirit of Japanese Kaiseki cuisine, using seasonal fresh ingredients and following old traditional and complex preparation processes that generate satisfying food and a full human-nature connection. A new Kaiseki meal set (NT$698) offers eight fine courses, and there are a la carte options, making Koharu ideal for friend/family gatherings, dates, business meals and banquets (in second-floor hall). --By Bill Zeng, translated by Angela Cheng

A. Koharu offers a classic, elegant and eye-pleasing setting.

B. The flavorful, aromatic Tomato Cheese (NT$120) uses select tomatoes, stuffed with scallops, squid and clams, stir-fried with brandy, covered with cheese, and served with a special curry sauce.

C. The Iron Plate Roast Beef (NT$400) is a signature dish using top Australian beef, cooked instantly on an iron plate at 300-plus degrees Celsius to seal in the savory juices and provide an unforgettably tender texture that melts in your mouth
