Officially open since April, this establishment offers an upgraded version of the classic Hong Kong cafe restaurant, where diners are welcomed to linger as long as they like over Cantonese dim sum, rice and noodle dishes, snacks and drinks--all available for great prices. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Angela Cheng
A. Some top sellers from the long food and drinks menu include pictured the Wonton Egg Noodles with XO Sauce (NT$120), served with an egg on top; the chef's creative version of the chewy, tender Rice Noodle Rolls (NT$70), drizzled with special savory sauces; crispy Fried Turnip Pastries (NT$80 for 3); Pineapple Buns with Iced Butter (NT$50 for 2) that melts inside the warm bread; and 100% Healthy Almond Tea (NT$70), served with two small rolls.
B. Head chef Liang Kuo-chuan and respected Hong Kong master chef Fu Zhang-shao ensure that customers enjoy authentic Hong Kong fare.
C. The 80-seat, two-floor interior exudes a traditional Hong Kong cafe-style ambiance, including old Cantonese music and a simple interior design.
