The Splendor Hotel offers this latest fine-dining option, with a variety of 21-day dry-aged beef steaks such as the 24-oz. T-bone (NT$6,080) or 16-oz. Prime Rib Eye (NT$4,080). There are also other steak options, plus lamb, duck, lobster and fish entrees. Prices include full set meals that come with bread and various choices for appetizer, soup, salad and hot starter, plus sorbet, dessert and drink, but there's also an a la carte menu. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Angela Cheng

A. With a variety of seating for about 40, this steak house provides a classy, intimate setting.

B. Laura's Steak House is part of the hotel's completely-renovated, upgraded 12th floor, which includes an attractive next-door Lobby Lounge, teppanyaki restaurant and pictured, exclusive-feeling Pacific Cigar Divan (part of the Hong Kong-based chain).

C. The Oven Baked 16-oz. US Snake River Farm Rib Eye Roll (NT$3,880) is one of of several, specially-marked options choices (including the two previously-noted dry-aged steaks) that can be split between two diners, with this price including a full set meal for two.
