Palio Italy Restaurant

637, FuKe Rd, Xitun Dist.

Palio Italy Restaurant serves authentic Italian pizzas and risotto and pasta dishes, prepared by Italian chef Ms. Nicoletta in cooperation with English chef Oliver. This restaurant follows the Italian essentials for culinary success--simple, healthy, natural and tasty--earning it enthusiastic praise from lovers of Italian cooking. --By Niang Chen, translated by Holmes Chang

A. The crispy, chewy, thin-crust Smoked Salmon Pizza (NT$350) is fired with longan-wood charcoal and topped with cheese, smoked salmon, shrimp and fresh clams for a great end result. The Fried Polenta Corn Cake (NT$80), a classic Italian snack, combines pure corn flour, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, salt, and rosemary.

B. Thanks to this new branch, Xitun district residents now enjoy the same Italian food that customers have savored at Palio's original Dongshan Road restaurant.

C. The Fisherman's Seafood Stew Risotto (NT$320) is made with fresh, savory squid, shrimp, clams and other seafood, plus Italian rice, while the Spaghetti with Puttanesca Sauce (NT$280) is yet another delicious option.
