Focusing on spicy Sichuan and Hunan (Xiang) creative cuisine, The Moon's Group new Maurya-brand restaurant features a menu with pork, beef, chicken, fish, seafood and various other entrees such as the Hunan Farmhouse Dish (large NT$180, small NT$270), containing pork tenderloin and plenty of red and green chilies, or Miao Sour and Spicy Beef (large NT$180, small NT$270) made with "chao-tian" chili and lemon juice. There is also a variety of beers and other drinks, like the special lemon sugarcane juice, perfect for hot summers. --By Ruby Wu, translated by Angela Cheng, photos by Pedro Lucas Teixeira Pinho

A. Fresh sea bass shreds are doused with spicy broth and hot pepper oil, instantly becoming the strongly savory Boiled Cooked Fish (NT$380).

B. Nine small appetizers (each NT$60)--include a refreshing Sour Smooth Potato, Spicy Tofu Skin, and creative "Nuts On Ferns"--each has its own special flavor.

C. The blue sofas and white tables here help create a youthful, fresh atmosphere.
