Taichung native Jennifer lived for over 20 years in Spain, where she owned a restaurant specializing in seafood and grilled meat dishes. Now she is offering her hometown authentic, traditional fare from Madrid. Near the Donghai Night Market entrance, this average-priced eatery offers tapas, salads, soups, meat and seafood dishes, and a nice variety of rice entrees like Paella, Cheese Paella or Vegetarian Paella. Sangria and wine also can be enjoyed here. High-end seafood dish Mariscada is available upon request (NT$2,900 for 2-3 people) and there are 20-inch pizzas, either whole (NT$450-690) or by the slice. --By Javier Siles, translated by Angela Cheng

A. The delicious Paella de Marisco (NT$390) remains very loyal to the original recipe. For special promotions, check the restaurant's Facebook page.

B. Tabla (NT$280) provides the perfect chance to savor various flavors by dipping Spanish-style octopus, crispy fries, chicken pieces or sliced sausages into a selection of sauces (brava, ali oli, mayonnaise, relish or ketchup).

C. The interior is small, but clean and neat.
