This "pet-adoption restaurant" stands apart from most pet restaurants and follows the slogan, "adopt a pet instead of buying one". Having a meal here also helps this adoption platform continue its assistance to stray animals. Besides the brightly-colored, attractively decorated first-floor dining area, there is a cats/dogs adoption area on the second floor plus another dining section, usually used by guests making reservations for themselves and their pets. Animals for adoption have been rescued from all over, often first cared for by hospitals before being sent over. This long-term, comfortable adoption environment aims to influence the public to adopt, not abandon, thereby improving the stray-animal situation in Taiwan. --By Lin Fu-shan, translated by Angela Cheng
