For Korean food fans tired of Korean BBQ or kimchi hot pots, this place, located next to People's Park (Civic Square), offers a different kind of Korean cuisine worth trying. Owner Lauren utilizes the same attention to detail that he used as a jewelry designer to create special Korean dishes and flavors for his customers. --By Anita Chen, translated by S. Ying

A. No other local eatery offers the same yummy oden-style snacks (NT$200) with the special sauces that Kimji provides. The naturally-flavored soup stock that comes with these treats is a definite selling point.

B. Korean Style Fried Chicken (NT$180) includes four different sauces to awaken your taste buds, while the tender and non-oily chicken pairs especially well with the variety of Korean liquors available at Kimji. There are also other grilled items and popular Korean dishes such as seafood pancakes, stir-fried rice cakes and fried calamari.

C. The simply-designed wooden decor creates a youthful and lively ambiance.
