Located in old downtown Taichung in a house over 80 years old, the decor here is a mix of industrial and rustic American elements. Live guitar performances of old folk songs and love tunes provide more ambiance while the menu includes pasta and risotto dishes (from NT$229) and appetizers (NT$50-250), served 9 to 11 p.m., with items like wings, deep fried bites, bread, soup and even all-you-can-eat pasta (NT$250). --By Niang Chen, translated by S. Ying

A. A mix of live music, gourmet food and good wines, all for reasonable prices, makes this an ideal relaxing evening hang-out.

B. The traditional Scotch Egg Pasta (NT$279) is made with onions, garlic, minced meats and eggs, seasoned with Italian spices, deep fried and layered with a creamy white sauce over the pasta. The generously-portioned Roast Steak (NT$279) comes with pesto sauce.

C. The Deep-Fried Combo (NT$250)--pictured with Seafood with Tomato Risotto (NT$260)--includes hash browns, onion rings, mozzarella cheese sticks and special fried chicken, perfect when topped with tomato sauce or Thai chili sauce.
