A must-visit for anyone wanting to savor truly authentic Italian cuisine, this cozy restaurant is owned and operated by Sicilian husband-and-wife team Alfredo Musumeci and Simona Greco, serving up tasty Sicilian cuisine, handmade by them with imported Italian ingredients such as quality mozzarella and parmesan cheese, plus organic locally-grown veggies. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Anna Yang

A."When you come here, you are not in Taiwan. You are in Italy," declares Alfredo, here with Simona and a sampling of their combination platter appetizers, including Allla Siciliana (NT$290) with caponata, omelette, parmiggiana, peperoni con mollica, and All Italiana (NT$350), with parmesan and mozzarella cheeses, salami, prosciutto ham and handmade focaccia bread.

B. Truly unique are eight kinds of Sicilian-style calzone (NT$300-420)--deep-fried, not baked, for an amazing result--from the Classico (ham and mozzarella) to the Siciliana (mozzarella and anchovies), pictured here with an Italian Peroni beer (NT$120).

C. Five pasta options (NT$200-320) include Campagnola, a savory combo of pumpkin sauce, bacon, rosemary and parmesan cheese over penne.
