After a fire destroyed her original restaurant, owner Ms. Li has relaunched her business at this more spacious venue, showing a persistence that has pleased her many loyal customers who love the authentic northeastern Chinese flavors and distinctive sauces. All dishes and sauces are prepared by Ms. Li, from the marinated Meat with Pickled Cabbage Hot Pot (NT$380) and mildly-flavored Chinese Herbal Spicy Pot (NT$380). Exquisite northeastern Chinese appetizers (NT$100-180) include Pork Skin Aspic, Cold Gelatin Plate, Salted Pork in Jelly, and Spicy Chicken, seasoned with spices, chilies, coriander and chives for inviting layers of unique flavors. Handmade dumplings (10 dumplings for NT$60-80) made with a blends of pork and chives, sour cabbage, green peppers, and seafood are also offered, in addition to exquisite vegetarian hot pot set meals. --By Niang Chen, translated by Anna Yang
