Dajian Seafood and Lamb Restaurant

(04) 2422-5533
153, ShanXi Rd, Sec 3, Beitun Dist
Hours: 5 pm-1 am

It isn't be necessary to go to Xihu for its fresh lamb hotpot anymore, thanks to this Chongde business district Japanese zen-style restaurant's freshly prepared Taiwan-raised lamb. This meat is cooked in a soup base made by simmering lamb bones and fat, sugar cane and several herbs for five hours, and the lamb is perfect when enjoyed with a specialty bean paste. Fresh Lamb Hotpot (NT$600) comes with a plate of sliced lamb meat, cabbage and frozen tofu. A myriad of recommended lamb cuisine includes Stewed Lamb Knuckles and Pork Belly (NT$350-500), and there are several Taiwanese stir-fried dishes (NT$120-350) like Stir-Fried Lamb with Scallions, Deep Stir-Fried Lamb Belly, and Hot and Spicy Crab Legs. Owner Chiang Cheng-hsiung also declares, "The fresh seafood delicacies served here are among the best dishes in this restaurant!" For a perfect conclusion to your meal, cook a crab in the leftover lamb hotpot broth and savor the delicious combined flavors of both seafood and lamb. --By Niang Chen, translated by Anna Yang
