Gaining fame after earning a Michelin star, Singapore's Hawker Chan uses unique sauces and culinary methods to offer its famed Soya Sauce Chicken (NT$100), Char Siew (NT$130), Roasted Pork (NT$130), and Roasted Pork Ribs with rice, or with Lo Mein or Gung Zai Mein noodles. Soya Sauce Chicken, simmered in a Chinese herbal sauce, has a dark-brown skin, tender meat and savory herbal flavors. The beautifully-presented, well-marbled pork ribs pair perfectly with the pickled vegetables on the side while the marinated roasted pork is crispy outside and soft inside. Side dishes included Green Beans with Spicy Sauce, Chayote Vine with Soy Sauce, Mixed Shreds, and Pork Ribs & Chinese Radish Soup. Sweetened White Gourd Drink and Licorice Chrysanthemum Tea (NT$30) are also popular drinks. --By Uvia Chang, translated by Anna Yang
