Balletone: A new fitness fashion for everyone
Translated by Naomi Lai
Balletone has been a popular fitness activity in the United States and Japan for quite some time. Now, it is finally coming to Taiwan, thanks to the efforts of World Gym.
Balletone courses combine training for cardio-respiratory fitness and muscle endurance with yoga's flexibility and stretching, and ballet's rhythm and balance. Using simple ballet movements, Balletone allows you to exercise your entire body without using any special equipment.
The most attractive aspect of Balletone is how easy it is. Everyone, regardless of age or gender, can get into this exercise easily without needing to worry about sport injuries. At the same time, because it encompasses elements of yoga, it helps to form and shape the body by stretching muscles. This is especially helpful for Asian women with fuller lower bodies who wish to reduce themselves to a slimmer shape.
Balletone consists of a three-part course: Sole-Synthesis is a "low-impact, high-efficiency" respiratory and stretching program suitable for beginners; Standing Flow is a medium-level course focused on muscle endurance; and Center Moves is a high-level aerobic course developed to further train your cardio-respiratory fitness.
World Gym will be hosting its "Balletone Experience Courses" for free to promote this effective new form of exercise. Whether you are a World Gym member or not, you can participate in this free course with registration by phone.
