2012 Xinshe Flower Festival: A Sea of Flowers

The 7th Xinshe Flower Festival, so called "the Sea of Flowers", almost 34 hectares in size, is separated into two sections--the "Delicate Flowers" and "Green Manure-typed Flowers" zones.
The "Green Manure-typed Flowers" area is over 30 hectares in size and is mostly covered with all kinds of colorful and attractive cosmos that help improve farm soil and sustain its fertility. Outside area, sunflowers and hemps that create a cheerful and sunny environment for visitors as soon as you enter.
One part of the "Delicate Flowers" zone is designed as a circle, formed out of 100 flower species, more than 400,000 young plants transplanted by researchers in Taiwan Seed Improvement and Propagation Station (TSIPS), while the other part resembles a European-style palace garden, including windmills, pillars and arched bridges.
2012 Xinshe Flower Festival theme park: 6 themed pavilions and 4 display areas
In this 2-hectares theme park, around with thousands of pretty flower arrangements, 6 indoor venues, namely "Centenary Prosperity Pavilion-A centennial celebration of TSIPS", "Pavilion of Plum, Orchid, Bamboo and Chrysanthemum", "Bulbous Flowers Pavilion", "Pretty Countryside Pavilion", "Eco-Friendly Pavilion" and "Life Aesthetic Pavilion", are well-decorated to welcome your visit.
This year, the Xinshe Flower Festival is also cooperating with the 2012 Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival and 2012 Central Taiwan Agriculture Expo, planning special zones such as the Central Taiwan Agriculture Products and Taichung Gourmet areas.
