Application Deadline: August 30, 2013
Application Requirement: Jazz Saxophone players of all ages and all nationalities.

2013 Taichung Saxophone Competition welcomes participants!

Houli, one of the districts of Taichung, has long been known as the "hometown of saxophones". This year, organizers of the second annual Taichung Saxophone Competition are offering the highest prize in the world for a Saxophone contest up to US$30,000.

In order to connect this contest to local attractions and promote Houli district's long-established musical instrument industry, the top three competition finalists will be invited to perform in Houli. This will include personal visits to various Houli sites and interactions with local residents, with the goal of promoting local-international cultural exchanges and the sharing of experiences and expertise.

The second annual Taichung Saxophone Competition is now accepting applications until August 30. The first-round DVD-based selection stage will take place in September, with 40 selected applicants gathering in Taichung on a clear, refreshing autumn day for the final competition. With cumulative prize awards exceeding NT$1 million there is an abundance of rewards awaiting you!
