The Wen-Su Life Saving & Welfare Association is a Buddhist-run organization bent on rescuing stray dogs. Although he is a Christian, Mr. Chang, another believer in the animal cause, has put in a lot of time and effort into creating a second-hand shop to help raise money for the rescue. After large, collecting donated objects, uses a basement floor, which is about 170 pings, as his display area. Although modest, the shop is spacious and clean; it sells a variety of items like clothing, books, bathroom fixtures, electronics and jewelry. Some of the merchandise here is almost brand-new; some has only been used a couple times. All of the prices (which start at NT$10) are more than reasonable. Clothes and shoes can be as low as NT$50 or NT$100 and they even have some brand-name items and clothing appropriate for the office.--By Niang Chen, translated by Ann Lee
