Rita is a wholesale store that imports a collection of folk-style furniture and clothing. Their main office is located on the east coast, and Taichung is their only retail store on the island. Here you will find delicate, hand-woven rattan furniture from Vietnam, as well as clothing, bags and shoes from Thailand; most of these products are made from natural fabrics like cotton and flax and are colored with natural, plant dyes instead of chemicals, which are easier on the environment.

accessorizing with casual wear.
(Right) The slip-resistant, Japanese-style "Bell Shoes" have flannel soles and easily maintain their shape (NT$190).
 
(Left) Made from palm fronds woven with flax, these shoes are light-weight and slip-resistant (NT$390).
(Right) The 100% handmade rattan tables and chairs at Rita are a bit old-fashioned but solid; the furniture is also sterilized to guarantee it is free of insects. These complicated tables are chairs get shinier as time goes by and are easier to maintain than leather furniture.
