Rose is a great place to shop for home decor items and smaller gifts, as it is stocked with all sorts of European-style ornaments, crafts, tea sets, paintings, ceramics, vintage-style hanging clocks and various art items from Europe. Perhaps its biggest specialty are mouth-blown glass ornaments inscribed with the personal signature of Taiwan's glass-blowing master, Lin Yao-Nong, who was awarded by the Hsinchu mayor as the creator of a Taiwan Top 10 souvenir gift. Glass-blowing techniques are very difficult to master and require working with material heated to over a thousand degrees in a furnace. All blown glass ornaments are glazed with special paint from Germany and have a unique pattern. If you are into collecting these glass ornaments or would like to learn more glass blowing, you will enjoy visiting this shop.
