Opened in December, 2013, this more modern farmers' market follows popular healthy-eating and organic trends, and many local residents visit on Fridays to buy organic produce from around central Taiwan. This in turn has become a community event as vendors and residents have developed friendships among themselves. The vendors also share their cooking tips, explain the origins of farm produce, provide a wide variety of food samples, and sell household items as well as organic tea leaves. Every market seller here is quite friendly, making this a great place to visit for a stroll around the grassy venue on a nice sunny day.
