Central Taiwan's first truly American-style shopping center, this impressive, 6.6-hectare mall is adjacent to Lihpao Land theme park and Fullon Hotel, and boasts about 120 shops and food/drink outlets on three levels, divided into indoor and Mediterranean-style outdoor areas. Most retailers are foreign brand names for sports, leisure, footwear, clothing, fashion, home products and other items, including Taiwan's only Sapporo Drug Store. Dining is covered by a 1,000-seat food court (with a special kids' area), a separate ramen mini food court with four noodle shops run by Japanese chefs, and a variety of independent restaurants. Other features include a special fenced-off dog park for pets (under 10 kg), five olive trees (two over 500 years old) shipped in from Spain, Taiwan's biggest Ferris wheel (scheduled to open in March), and a 5,000-car parking lot. Free all-day, non-stop shuttle buses connect the Chaoma Guo-Guang Bus Station and mall hourly on weekdays and every 30 minutes on holidays. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by Anna Yang
