This large well-known Dutch bank is no newcomer to Taichung, with a highly-visible presence by McDonald's and Caves book store on Taichung Harbor Road, between Chingkuo Boulevard and Grand Formosa Hotel. However, ABN AMRO now has a second branch within sight of the first, after taking over Bank of America's Taiwan consumer banking operations. Thus, the big BOA sign has disappeared from its location on the corner of Ying Tsai and Taichung Harbor roads, replaced by the yellow and green Dutch bank's emblem.
