Catlair 6's carefree, independent and youthful owner, Catlin, has traveled around the island some 30 times alone on her scooter. Her casual and free personality helped lead to the opening of this cafe in her rented old, one-story house, and was originally intended as a bit of a joke with some friends, with the name derived from a combination of a feline character and her lucky number.
There is a simple beauty in the plain old furniture, driftwood, old records and various small decorations displayed around Catlair, with an extra realistic touch provided by the cat bites and scratches on these items. The arrival of a new business partner, Paul, has also seen younger customers starting to visit this tucked-away cafe, many of them curious about Catlair's secluded atmosphere, while others are attracted by the excellent coffee it offers.
Originally, Catlair 6 only served three types of coffee--Mandheling, Brazil and Mamba. Now, however, they also offer other varieties of blended coffee, teas and meals.
