It's a known fact that people from Taichung just love their teas. Whether it was purchased at a roadside tea stand or in a stylish tea shop, Taichung-ers drink copious amounts of this beverage. Below are some tea establishments and their products that stand out from the crowd, for the next time you're looking to cool off this summer.

The almonds are ground into a powder before being cooked into a nice bowl of almond tea with brown rice powder and crystal sugar. You can also boost the fragrance by adding some freshly-ground sesame. The Fried Bread Stick is baked until it's crisp before being served as a great complement to the almond tea. This salty, sweet and almond-flavored combination creates a delicious mouthful.

The White Jade Tapioca Balls are with natto (Japanese fermented soy bean) extracts. The balls are half transparent, chewy to the bite and will not become hard due to colder temperatures. It is a great treat combined with black tea and fresh milk.

A soft layer of slightly-salty panna cotta floats on the top of green tea with a sprinkle of green tea powder on the top. The flavor and texture of the panna cotta hovers between milk foam and cheese, so drink this without stirring to experience the distinct flavors of the sweet-and-salty panna cotta and green tea at the same time. The fries are cut into various shapes, then deep fried to a golden crispiness. You can dip them in ketchup, mustard or jam for different tastebud experiences.
