Afternoons are a great time for relaxing in some pleasant corner of the city. Sam and Nancy, the friendly owners of this coffee house, are happy to offer such a place. After returning from overseas, they decided to do something they had always wanted to do in Taiwan, which was to enjoy a more leisurely pace of life. The cakes and waffles here were developed by Chef Max and the owners, and include absolutely no artificially additives. --By Ann Li, translated by Angel Pu

A. Handmade Cheese Cake (NT$60/piece) is made with organic eggs and pure cheese, and is very solid and creamier than regular cakes. There are six flavors for customers to choose from (original, latte coffee, sesame, Japanese macha, cocoa, mulberry) and six-inch Cheese Cakes (NT$395).

B. Waffles come in three varieties--organic honey, fresh jam made from seasonal fruit (both NT$90) and ice cream (NT$150).

True HouseC. True House occasionally holds movie festivals, photo exhibits and graphic exhibitions, and artists are always welcome here.
