Opened by owner Joe next to the National Taichung University of Education, this friendly establishment has high ceilings, big glass walls that let plenty of sunlight in, and tables each seating up to six. Joe himself did the decor and the walls are available for art exhibits. Customers can also use free power points to charge up their devices. --By Javier Siles, translated by Angel Pu

A. Light meals (NT$40-130), including brunches, bagels, sandwiches and desserts, plus seasonal Strawberry Custard Waffles, are available.

B. Coffee drinks (NT$50-150) make up 90% of the drinks menu and include the pictured Cappuccino, which has a creamy, smooth foam and elegant flavor. If you like single-flavor coffees, try the beans from Yemen, El Salvador and Ethiopia.

Cafe SoraC. Cafe Sora offers a comfortable, bright dining environment. There is a NT$20 take-out discount per cup of coffee, with an extra NT$10 discount before 1 p.m. This offer also applies to delivery services to nearby areas (minimum NT$300 order).
