Decorated with plenty of plants, 47 Cafe is a fresh, ideal and comfortable spot for relaxation and coffee, particularly during weekends and holidays. Located in Taichung's 7th Redevelopment Zone, this establishment is a rather unique combination of an eyewear store, jewelry shop and cafe--all owned and managed by members of the same family.
A lot of the food here stands apart from other local coffee shops, largely because it was enjoyed by the owner during a Canadian home-stay experience. During this time, he learned how to make these items from his host family,
llowing him to share some delicious new flavors upon his return to Taiwan. The tasty menu items include desserts, salads, sandwiches and breakfast sets (add NT$100 to any a la carte drink and get a hardboiled egg, grilled sausage, salad and handmade bread). Each set also includes a fresh hot or iced English tea. Other drinks offered by 47 Cafe include Italian-style coffees (made from hand-picked coffee beans) and natural, organic Dutch herbal teas.
