This cafe's doorway is like an entrance into a bright, vivid fantasy world. All the walls inside are decorated with brilliant coffee trees, painted by the famous "Grandpa Rainbow" Huang Yongfu, known nationally as the creator the fascinating paintings in Taichung's Rainbow Veteran Community.

The storybook-like menu lists out tasty options for brunch, light meals, coffee and other freshly-prepared beverages. The cafe actually owns two coffee plantations on Shui Tou Mountain and in Qinai Pine Forest, in Nantou county's Puli township. Thanks to the proximity of these areas, a cup of fresh, aromatic coffee can be savored within 30 days of ripe beans being picked, sorted and roasted.

Due to limited yields, these coffee bean harvests are solely reserved for Silver Cafe, whose pure made-in-Taiwan coffee brand has already made its mark in Taichung. Shui Tou Mountain Coffee can be enjoyed in either filtered or siphoned styles (NT$180-230) and the beans are washed, naturally dried and honeyed during processing. This means that its flavor starts out with a longan honey like flavor, but finishes with a tea fragrance in your mouth. Being cultivated at higher elevations also contributes to its unusual richness.

Silvery Cafe prepares most of its food itself to ensure premium, wholesome quality. This includes the handmade ice cream, waffles, pasta dishes, brunch set meals and even the natural-ingredient salad dressings. The cafe also serves coffees made with imported coffee beans.
