Now located opposite People's Park after leaving its old location near the Science Museum, K2 now offers not only an expanded variety of gelato and sorbetto ice creams, but also Taichung's only Roma-style pizza, coffees and a broad range of beer. --By Douglas Habecker, translated by S. Ying

A. The attractive European-feeling interior includes a standing bar and step-style outside benches for customers.

B. Roma-style "Pizza al Taglio" (cut pizza) is sold in 10-centimeter squares (NT$50-120). About 8-9 flavors are offered daily--many extremely unique. Pictured (left-right) are the Pumpkin, Spicy Nduja Sausage, Ricotta and Pecorino Cheese, and Tomato Pizza; Rapini (broccoletti), Smoked Mozzarella and Sausage Pizza; and Porchetta (pork roast), Parmigiano-Reggiano, Arugula Pizza. Beverages include Italian Lurisia juice drinks and about 20 foreign and local craft beers (supplied by partner ChangeX Beer).

C. About a dozen flavors (out of about 50 total) of creamy, textured Italian ice cream are offered daily (NT$80/1 flavor, NT$100/2 flavors). Another treat is Affogato (NT$130), hazelnut ice cream doused in a hot espresso shot.
