Zebra Walking Cafe

(04) 2378-0515
5, WuQuan 1st St, West Dist
Hours: 9 am-9 pm
Self-service area for drinking water and utensils provided.

Cafe owner Kenji is also a designer who favors retro architecture styles and enjoys drinking coffee with his girlfriend in unique cafes with character. The "zebra" name for his own cafe was inspired by the many other cafes he's visited and the fact his favorite colors are black and white. After more than a year of looking, he finally found an old house near the Art Museum and did a complete renovation of the old structure so that it's more spacious than before. The recommended, richly-flavored black Zebra Walking Coffee (NT$140) with a pink salt flavored whipped cream is smooth and aromatic in the mouth, offering simultaneous enjoyment of both sweet and salty layers. Non-caffeinated beverage options are also available. Smoked Salmon French Croissant (NT$270), served on a specially made wooden plate, includes salad, fried chicken, scrambled eggs, bacon, mushroom soup, and salmon croissant. Specialty dessert Meiji Chocolate Bagel (NT$150), a whole piece of chocolate inside a heated bagel, has exquisite flavors and melts in your mouth. --By Julie Chen, translated by Anna Yang
