Sax Cafe

(04) 2557-1919
473-2, DaZhen Rd, Houli Dist
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-6:30 pm,
Sat-Sun & Holidays 8:30 am-9 pm

This quaint cafe is tucked along a quiet Houli District street. It is seamlessly included on the second floor of the parent shop selling in-house designed saxophones, with both levels sharing a glass wall that brings natural light into the cafe. The cafe prides itself on providing locally-grown vegetables, fresh eggs and gourmet bread baked by a chef. A wide selection of western-style breakfast, lunch and Chinese hot pot dishes are served throughout the day. One popular set lunch is Provence Roast Half Chicken (NT$449) which comes with generous servings of salad, fruit, toast, bread, potato wedges and a drink. A good breakfast or afternoon tea choice that is gentler on the waistline and wallet is the Fresh Fruits Set Meal (NT$179), served with bread, yogurt, sweet potato and a drink. Customers who visit on Sundays can also savor live saxophone music from 12:30 to 2 p.m. --By Judy Tan Lee Choo, translated by Anna Yang
