Walking into the lounge-style Little Mansion will make you feel pleasantly startled. The popular Little Mansion is always bursting with life and action. Manager Danny says this establishment is a fusion of West and East, with added innovation and tradition. The place, designed by shareholder Nick, is modern, with a touch of vintage flair. The exquisite period furnishings and early-glass decorations help create Mansion's uniqueness. Many customers adore the glasshouse, where you can soak up the late-afternoon sunshine. Little Mansion offers nearly 50 authentic Shanghai-style dishes. Head chef Ho-Yie's signature dishes include the crimson Wu Shi Style Sweet Pork Ribs (NT$280) and Eggplant Pork Intestines (NT$240). The pork ribs are known to be tender and full of flavor, almost melting in your mouth. The intestines are made just right--tender and crispy, and perfect with a shot of alcohol. --By Josie Wu, translated by Teresa Cheng
