N.Y. Bagels Cafe is six years old, and has finally opened its first branch store, where you can enjoy American "H&H Bagels" 24 hours a day. This American-style exudes branch more urban energy than the main establishment. It has more seating and space, and also distributes some European-style breads such as Rolls (NT$25), Bocatta (NT$30), and Bialy (NT$40), all of which come from Lithuania. This gives customers crunchy and soft alternatives to the six different dense and chewy bagels (NT$50). In the booklet-like menu, you'll find American-style homemade breakfast (NT$200) and unlimited coffee. It is nutritious, and more food than you can finish. Their Sirloin Steak Ciabatta Gigantic Sandwich (NT$230) is popular. As the name suggests, this has large amounts of onions, vegetables, tomatoes, olives, and roast beef. The owner's favorite is Bob's Corned Beef Set Breakfast (NT$235). N.Y. Bagels Cafe is near the 24-hour Eslite Bookstore. --By Josie Wu, translated by Clinton Adrew Munkholm
