Zuper is a Japanese-style food court
on the first floor of the Taipei Stadium's NanJing East
Road side. This 600-ping area has select cuisine from
about 10 restaurants, showcased with modern Tokyo-style
decor and offering trendy dishes for affordable prices.
First up on the right is Ecco Italian Kitchen, selling
pasta and thin-crust, handmade pizzas. The North Sea
Smoked Salmon Pizza (NT$230) is a personal creation
of the owner, with romaine lettuce, black olives and
an egg yolk layer for an unforgettable mouthful. Next
is Han Gu Fang, a Korean restaurant offering Copper
Plate BBQ (NT$150-NT$250), GuangZhou Stone Pot Rice
(NT$190), Spicy Fried New Year Cakes (NT$180) and other
popular dishes. The Nara Tea and Rice House specializes
in Japanese Edo cuisine. In a change from the usual
pork bone soup base used in most ramen, the noodles
here are prepared with katsuo soup and special udon
noodles made from yams. Their Udon Noodles (NT$130),
Tempura Set Meals (NT$180) are the most popular dishes.
Wei Zhi Yi Sapporo Ramen offers ingredients imported
from Japan. Their Ramen with Pork (NT$150) is cooked
with 16 different ingredients and vegetables for over
20 hours to create a rich, aromatic soup base. |
