Have you ever imagined yourself a princess being doted upon and spoon-fed delicious desserts? If your romantic idea of perfection involves a colorful room full of flowers, lace and sweets, then VVG Bon Bon in eastern Taipei is the place for you. --By Josie Wu, translated by Ann Lee

A. Cupcakes are often known as "chicken-shaped cakes" or" wheel cakes" in Taipei. When people think of cupcakes, they imagine moms baking at home for their kids. At VVG Bon Bon these handmade, gourmet cupcakes are not only nice to look at but also taste fantastic.

B. If you're hungry for a little more than sweets, this place also offers limited, seasonal meals, including a signature dish, Crepe Wrapped in Spiced Mushroom with White Wine & Mushroom Sauce, followed by Angel Hair in Beef Broth with Spanish Meat Balls. This dish might sound like more than you can handle, but after a hard day at work, you deserve its rich flavors.
